Conclusion

Concrete containing colloidal nano silica (CNS) showcases the potential of internal curing to improve concrete performance. Through gradual water release, CNS contributes to reduced shrinkage, enhanced strength, and improved durability. As research and application techniques progress, CNS is likely to play an increasingly important role in modern concrete technology. Due to internal curing capability of CNS, drying shrinkage and the water permeability of the sample were reduced. Hydration of the cement was improved by CNS.
